Top 5 Mobile CRM Apps
Customer relationship management (CRM) is becoming even more popular among the mobile application markets. Even big companies are putting a lot of their investments into mobile CRM apps. For those are looking for the best CRM mobile apps around, look no further, these are the current top 5 CRM apps today. Sugar Mobile Sugar Mobile is a variant of Sugar Professional or Sugar Enterprise made specifically for the iPhone or iPad. It provides an easy-to-use interface to make accessing customer data on the road simple. It also uses the Mobile app to allow users to log calls made on the cell phone. Google Maps is also interfaced to allow users to bring up addresses on the go. System data is updated constantly, so there is no need to synch or cradle other devices. (Photos Courtesy of Flickr User: Sean MacEntee) Salesforce Chatter Salesforce advertises the Chatter as the first cloud-based social platform and application suited for enterprise communications. It utilizes commonly used features such as found on popular social networks like Facebook, such as status updates, individual profiles, and live feeds. Their stated goal is to help companies improve mobile broadband networking capabilities and subsequent productivity. All data is stored on the cloud and can be accessed by cellular devices with the Chatter Mobile application. Consumer testing by Salesforce.com offers conclusive results on the effectiveness of the Chatter platform. “Executives reported that Chatter is making their employees more productive, with 28 percent fewer meetings and 32 percent less email. In addition, nearly 50 percent of the users surveyed said they could find information faster than ever before,” stated Robin Daniels, director of marketing for Salesforce.com. "Companies like Dell and Reed Exhibitions have deployed Chatter enterprise-wide." Batchbook Another social CRM program, Batchbook was made especially for small businesses. It is available for the iPhone and iPad for mobile broadband accessibility to no frills CRM features and social networking. Changes made to the main Batchbook account from mobile devices are automatically synced. Pamela O’Hare, President of BatchBlue Software: “The new Batchbook iPhone app assures each person in an organization has the best, most up-to-date information possible to better manage their relationships and keep their conversations going," (Photos Courtesy of Flickr Users: jeremiah_owyang and Sean MacEntee) Box.net Mobile Box.net offers a slightly different approach to their information-sharing interface. They utilize a folder/file system to organize uploaded information. From there, files and folders can be viewed and easily turned into a webpage or blog format. Box.net Mobile is among the most widely compatible CRM apps, available for Blackberry, iPhone, iPad, and Android based mobile broadband devices. Resco MobileCRM This app was specifically designed to allow sales people and field operatives to access Microsoft Dynamics customer relations data on their iPhones. This app aims to end the hassle of having to call their offices to access data while doing fieldwork, and instantly put the data in their hands when needed. The only exception to this accessibility is email, which one would have to use a different application to access. This is a guest article by Ruben Corbo, a writer for the website Broadband Expert where you can find internet service providers in your area and compare prices on different deals for your mobile broadband needs. |
The key to winning the new war for talent - International Recruitment
We are on the eve of a new war for talent. The unemployment is dropping in most countries around the world. The companies are starting to hire again. At the moment there are many talented people available and the recruiters are able to fill the pipe-line without significant problems. However, this will not last very long. Soon the competition for talent will start to intensify. And the key to winning this war for talent will be the international approach. Besides the obvious reason of intensified competition, here are some reasons why an international approach to recruitment is important. 1. The IT functions are even more specialized than they used to be several years ago. This will make it even harder for recruiters to find valuable employees in their region. 2. Centralized IT service centers are a good strategy for increasing efficiency. Many global companies have this approach and now a big part of the IT work is done in such centers which serve internal clients all-over the world. This is why the atmosphere inside these centralized centers needs to be international. An international environment is only possible with international employees. 3. The number of IT graduates in the developing world is higher than in the Western Europe or North America. Universities in the developing countries have improved a lot and their graduates are now able to compete on the same level with their peers from the western universities. 4. Technical people are increasingly harder to find in the developed world. Technical work is not easy, so most of the people tend to prefer less technical roles, especially if there is less work and the compensation is equal if not even higher. 5. Even though the salary gap starts to narrow, there are still important differences between the salaries of the IT people in different countries. So international recruitment can offer a win-win solution: the employer is happy for paying a slightly lower salary to an international candidate and the employee is happy for having a better salary than in his home country. 6. When the outsourcing and the nearsourcing trends started to gain ground more than a decade ago, the first employees in the developing world were juniors without prior experience in large global projects. Now, after more than a decade these first employees gained a lot of experience and now are as experienced as the managers and the consultants in the Western world. 7. A lot of governments are now offering incentives for high skilled migrants. Some countries offer tax discounts (for example in the Netherlands the first 30% of the income is tax free). Other countries (including US, UK, Canada) have made the immigration process easier for talented people with skills that are in high demand. As most of the skills in the IT sector are in high demand, these facilities will apply to the majority of the IT candidates. This is why recruiters have to work at international level in order to take advantage of this new trends and not to loose valuable candidates. A-SAP Recruitment is a recruitment agency that is aware of all these trends. This is why, rather than focusing on a specific location we are focusing on specific industries and jobs. We work with clients from all-over the world and we help them to recruit the most suitable candidates for the IT positions. |

Entrepreneurship - the beauty of an old idea in a new form
“Man's mind, once stretched by a new idea, never regains its original dimensions” Oliver Wendell Holmes It's been more than a year since I started my own company "A-SAP International Recruitment". This year has been a challenging one and there were many occasions when I felt like giving-up and returning to the safety of a regular job. It has been much harder than I initially thought it will be. But I managed to resist and finally things started to change for the better a few months ago. Now I already have a portfolio of nice clients, I have some close partners that I am working with closely, and more importantly, I have some placed candidates. Some people all-over the world, from Mexico to Belgium and from Greece to Singapore, are working at their current jobs in part also because of me. This is the nicest thing about recruitment - the satisfaction of a candidate that enjoys his/her job. This is the reason why I enjoy working in international recruitment so much - this is the positive impact of my work. I am doing this since almost 10 years. I started placing people in jobs abroad in 2001 and I am doing the same thing since then. Of course some things changed. Back then I was working with students and young graduates. Now I am working with experienced Consultants and Managers. At the beginning I was doing it as a volunteer in a student organization, after that I was working as an employee, and now I am doing it as an entrepreneur. This is the beauty of entrepreneurship. It's an old idea in a new form. I have been doing international recruitment for 10 years but since I started working on my own it is all so new. It's wonderful the feeling that a man can get when his job is exactly as he would have imagined it. This is why being an entrepreneur is the best decision one can make. And I think that it would be impossible for me to go back to being an employee again. And if any of you are thinking about starting something on your own, just do it! You will not regret it. “Man's mind, once stretched by a new idea, never regains its original dimensions” Contact: E-mail: cezar.maroti@asaprec.com For more job updates follow us on Twitter: http://twitter.com/A_SAP_Rec You can also subscribe to receive the new jobs by e-mail: http://bit.ly/A-SAP_Jobs_e-mail If you want to recruit SAP specialists for your organization please consult our unique offer: http://www.asaprec.com/client-proposition |
List of SAP Modules - keywords for SAP jobs/titles functional and technical
In the recruitment world most of the people still use the "old" names of the SAP technologies. In the recent years SAP AG has changed the names of the SAP Solutions. This is why the old names of the modules are not so relevant anymore in the world of SAP implementation and upgrade project teams. But in the conversation with the recruiters they are still pretty useful. SAP solutions overview - "old" modules and actual names
In the latest years SAP AG has changed many times the names for the solutions they provide. Most of the people are used to the old names of the SAP ERP Modules: FI, CO, SD, MM, PP, PM, LE, QM, HR, BW, etc. While most of the people still use the old names, the names of the "old" modules become less and less relevant. This is why I decided to make a list of the current names that are used for the SAP Solutions.
SAP ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning
SAP CRM - Customer Relationship Management
SAP PLM - Product Lifecycle Management
SAP SCM - Supply Chain Management
SAP SRM - Supplier Relationship Management
Later I will start to explain in detail each of the components. My birthday wish - Eliminate poverty
I'm turning 28 today Monday November 8th and I want to eliminate poverty. The long-term, sustainable solution to eliminate poverty is to empower people locally and to help them get out of poverty on their own. Kiva's mission is to connect people, through lending, for the sake of alleviating poverty. http://birthdays.causes.com/wishes/75185 I believe in long-term, sustainable solutions for the problems of the world. Poverty is an important issue. And this problem will not be solved on the long term by donations from rich countries to poor countries. The only solution is to empower people locally and to help them get out of poverty on their own. This is what Kiva does. They help connect people who need the money with people who have some extra money. Anyone can lend $25 for an entrepreneur in a developing country. It might not seem much for some one in Western Europe or in North America. But for some one in a poorer country it is very important. Most of the people can build or extend a successful business with less than $1000. This will help them feed and support their families on the long-term. For my 28th birthday I want to fund-raise $280 for KIVA - www.kiva.org So please have a look at my Birthday wish and donate as much as you can afford. Also please share it with your friends - maybe some of them will be able to donate some money for Kiva. http://birthdays.causes.com/wishes/75185 $95 out of $280 have already beed donated. Only $185 more needed. Help me reach my goal! Thank you, Cezar |
About Qual-IT-y Solutions
Starting with October 2010, A-SAP International Recruitment started a partnership with Qual-IT-y Solutions. Qual-IT-y Solutions is since 2001 specialized in recruitment of IT professionals. Candidates are becoming scarce and the market increasingly international. A trend that we have been following for a decade. From our office in the Netherlands and our search center in Slovakia we can fill any vacancy, either a single and target driven vacancy in the short term as well as large outsourcing projects. "We search where others stop" .The typical applicant in job portals slowly disappears. Actively searching and approaching candidates is becoming the key factor to successful fulfillment of vacancies. We know how to find the right people for you. Focus Our focus is quick and successful fulfillment of your IT position. Through our extensive experience, use of right tools and resources we can truly understand your vacancy and deliver the right candidate in time. Recruitment is our passion, a profession in which we are leading. We think along with your expectations and we adapt our strategy to your situation. We customize methods and we deliver to competitive rates. Vision The labor market is getting tighter and more international. Recruiting good staff is difficult and forces businesses to make choices. What differentiates your company from competitors, why would a professional choose to work for your company while he/she can do the same as free lancer. There is a good chance that you cannot answer all these questions. Qual-IT-y Solutions challenges you to think about these questions. Strong recruitment is your distinctive vision. Our Logo Charles Darwin discovered on the Galapagos islands that the beak of a finch adapts to the available food on the island. He concluded that different finch species evolved from one common type. Adaptivity, creativity and intelligence fit well with the Qual-IT-y Solutions. This explains the finch of Darwin in our logo. |
Good Signs for the US and Global Employment in 2011
After a very long and difficult period of waiting it seems that finally the future looks brighter. Randstad.com reports that “business leaders in the US are planning to hire new members of staff during 2011”, citing a recent research survey by Regus. The research by Regus reveals 32% of firms expect to expand their workforces next year, suggesting companies are witnessing signs of recovery and sustainable upward growth. The report suggests global unemployment trends may be reversing following rising joblessness in recent years and Regus regional vice-president Sande Golgart said: "The intention to increase headcount is a clear indicator that businesses want to be prepared to grasp the opportunities that recovering markets may throw their way." The good trend is not only present in the US. More than 10,000 senior executives in 78 countries worldwide showed that 36 per cent of those polled planned to increase recruitment during 2011. Manpower conducted their own survey, focusing on 2010 results and the conclusions are positive: U.S. employers anticipate a slight gain in employment levels for Quarter 4 2010. These signs are very good for the IT recruitment also. I believe that the IT projects will soon resume and the demand for IT specialists will start to grow on the medium and long term. Cezar Maroti |
International IT and SAP Recruitment
IT Recruitment will continue to grow The IT market has experienced an accelerated growth in the last decades. More and more companies have discovered that IT systems can bring them the competitive advantage that they need in order to increase their profits and to offer better services for their customers. I see this trend continuing and I believe that information, technology and communication will shape the world's future in this century. The economic turmoil from the last 2 years has contributed to a slow-down in the investment for the IT projects. Many projects have been canceled or put on hold. But the pressure is growing and more and more companies are realizing that they are loosing opportunities because their IT systems are not efficient enough. This is why I believe that the IT projects will soon resume and the demand for IT specialists will continue to grow on the medium and long term. IT recruitment needs to be international The IT workforce in the European Union is getting more and more mobile. People are often changing their residence in search for a better job. One important trend that leads to increased mobility is the specialization of the employees. The new products and the evolution of the technology sector have created jobs that did not exist 50 years ago: SAP Consultant, C#.Net developer, Java Engineer, Oracle Data Base Administrator. Because the telecommunication possibilities have evolved tremendously now international companies can afford to cut costs by centralizing most of their IT functions in one single location and from this location they offer IT services to all the department of the companies. This has lead to the development of important hubs for the IT industry and the centralization of most of the IT jobs in just a few European cities. So people in search of better career opportunities will have to relocate to one of these cities in order to improve their chances of getting the job that they want. This is why recruitment agencies have to work at international level in order to take advantage of this new trends and not to loose valuable candidates.
