Key responsibilities may include:
1) Planning and managing diagnosis and assessment activities and defining high-level program/action plans
2) Identifying opportunities to drive more value from an organization's IT strategy through technology strategies in targeted areas, including technology infrastructure (overall as well as security, networks, and desktop) and technology architecture
3) Ensuring technology requirements will allow modeling and address performance and security
4) Ensuring high level design supports a robust technology solution, taking into account the user requirements, technical requirements, etc. (e.g., solution architecture)
5) Planning and managing technology design activities
6) Being recognized as an expert on one or more technology vendors/products/areas
7) Leading the technology evaluation and selection effort
8) Planning and managing capacity planning activities
9) Planning and managing program-wide technology build, test and deployment activities
10) Being an expert in troubleshooting and performance tuning one or more virtualization technology products

Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of hands on experience with VMware, Citrix Xen, and Hyper-V is preferred

Preferred Skills:
1) Virtualization and infrastructure architecture experience
2) Designing and implementing virtualization technologies
3) Storage Technologies (SAN/NAS) including Hardware & Software (EMC / IBM/ or HP EVA or Storageworks )
4) Advanced computing and storage technologies - desktop virtualization, server virtualization and partitioning, storage virtualization
5) Designing and implementing server solutions
6) Designing scalable server architectures
7) Experience in project management and detailed technical planning
8) Planning future server capacity
